I love those "girl in a window" photos...natural light, sulky/wistful poses. Didn't have a model handy, so settled for the family cat "Marzipan"...a stroppy little madam at the best of times, though not your normal supermodel type. Took over a dozen goes at this before I got a half decent result (never work with animals or chidren). I think I finally got the focus and exposure OK, I was having metering issues with the dark fur and the pale background. Would you crop this? I was trying to leave space for her to look into.

Looks good. My feeling is you did well by leaving space. The plate might be nice if gone but the space is more important.

Yes, normal clutter though...I was just sitting there fiddling with the camera, when her ladyship jumped up there. Things would have been much different if it had been planned.

I might crop a little off top and bottom. Try for a square format on this one.
