i tried doing the same thing the other week and it took a while to get a decent shoot. i ended up just using the on camera flash which overexposed my skin but the eye looked cool. heres the pic. i think the key is to have alot of light aiming towards the eye to show the detail because without all i saw was black and brown blob lol
