Remember to face the wind on the feeder! 40mph gusts yesterday afternoon. The flash is no worry . . . but shutter noise is another matter. All these shot through glass . . . . self preservation wins!
I might drop the exposure by just a smidge, but amazing captures! Left is 'before', Right is 'after'. Coulda outlined the bird for darkening only, to keep the bokeh nice and light, in hindsight...
Exposure governed by the flash - difficult to judge as with these you don't get a second chance. In england it is 1/50 at f2.8 lighting at best during a stormy January afternoon. A half stop down would be ideal. Thanks for your reply.
View attachment 115109 Ah! Just saw you were in England- my niece married a very find gentleman from Liverpool a few months ago. Hoping to visit someday!
