Wisconsin Whitetails

Once again they came out to say hello. This park is home to many whitetails and they are pretty curious. Suppose they feel safe where they are. This was the nicest of the bucks we saw. Also a few pictures of the does.

So these live in a park and are thus used to humans crossing their paths?
That would explain how you could get this close to them!
Nice pics.
They are beautiful animals (though they scare me a lot when I am driving around, mostly so now in the rutting season). And you captured them beautifully!

This batch of pics is from a park (the deer there are free to leave, no fences), and yes these deer are a little less likely to run away, and I think they like to pose! We went looking for these guys specifically for some photo ops. Some of the earlier pics were more of a surprise. There are so many deer around where we live that it's pretty easy to catch them - but if you make much of a move they are gone.
