Woo Hoo! FINALLY!

After months of agonizing over the silly triangle, I finally was able to successfully put it into practice in Manual mode - I've understood it intellectually for months now, but was having issues putting it into practice. I finally had my AH HA! moment! Unfortunately, the things that I was practicing on were twigs and leaves in the yard, and quick snap shots of my kids. But now that I think I understand it, I can take photos of things that will actually be worth while!

I feel like such a dork because of how excited I am, but I don't care! YAY! Now back to cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

it also reminded me in 1972, taking my 1st depth of field photos....in the basement with my brothers model ships. Wow, I could get 1 in focus, 1 blurry, boy was I proud of myself saving the $250 myself to buy a Honeywell Pentax, no lenses and my dad bought me the flash as a present.

How did I know this question was going to come up, and how did I somehow know it'd be from you?!

All the photos I took were of nonsense. Random tree branches, my porch posts, the dog eating a dead mouse the cat brought home.... nothing of interest. So I deleted them and will get photos up soon! I posted some not too long ago that I'd taken when I was still trying to figure everything out.

For some reason, that reminded me of something I saw on someone's FB wall the other day that I found kinda amusing:
