Wood and more wood

I am a sucker for abstract images of wood in general and submit for your consideration this image, shot in Maine last summer.

Hey, cool texture shot. Timber the one and still wood the other, both in one picture, close up, that does give "wood" an interesting aspect. The log is a bit on the bright side, though, the sun must have been quite intense. But I still like it!

Thanks LaFoto. I am experimenting with digital photography and one of the limitations I am finding is the exposure scale. It would seem that even when you think you have it, it's gone...especially when you look at images in a larger size (you know, like real life?)
