Woodrow Wilson Bridge, Arlington Va at Sunrise

I was hoping to get some nice sunrise pictures this morning, instead I got these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I like the composition of #1 and the PP in #4 is really cool.

There is a tutorial of taking cityscape shots that shows how to get really good star flare on the lights (don't know exactly what it's called), it would look cooler if you had done that. I think the key is a really small aperture. Also, the dead space on the left side of #1 doesn't do much for me and I wish you had gotten more of the bridge in the right side of the frame. Some times, that is tough though due to buildings, lamp posts, etc. All things considered, it's a great shot.

I like #1 & #3 the best. They are all nice. I like how the supports are lit up like a V. Bravo buddy.

Love the way the bridge seems to be endless in 3. Did you change focal lengths or are they all just cropped differently? I think it would make a nice collection (?) set (?) not sure of the official name for a group of shots framed together... 3 as the larger top pic with 1 and 4 smaller pics beneath it but maybe more harmonious if all the exact same angle and focal length or not quite as similar but not identical... Not sure if I'm expressing that correctly.

Square, yeah I did do a bit of adjustments. It breaks down to this. #1 was 30mm, #2 was 50mm, #3 was 18mm. They are cropped since the originals had some forground concrete and boat tie ups, or too much water. I've learned from the C&C on here, too much water will get a comment. So, I tried to make sure the amount of water was equal to the amount of sky to give it balance.

Me too Patrick. First time I saw the support beans I was on a cruise and just got the camera. Made a deal with myself to come back and do something good with them. Thanks for the compliment and post.

With my camera.. the first picture was shot at f8, the remaining were shot at f22 which is why I have the star pattern. I'm sure I'll be going back again, and I'll make sure to get the full bridge in without so much empty space.. Appreciate the feedback.
