Would love some C&C

I am finally pursuing a project that I have been wanting to undertake for a while now but would like some input here at the start.

The project isn't anything over the top, some simple clean B&W portraits.

I am looking to photograph 10 different females in studio. That's pretty much about it really. Something more along the lines of a head and shoulder or similar photo. Then have some nice prints made to start putting together a cohesive physical portfolio.

Its somewhat my take on a series I saw from Christopher Ferguson. In his photos he used more of a short lighting technique which I love however due to space where I shoot, I can not copy. I also do not want to copy exactly what he did either and I seem to shoot more in a beauty lighting style constantly so I wanted to incorporate that. I know it will not be the most exciting to everyone, which is understandable, but what I am attempting to achieve is a series of clean studio portraits.

It was shot on 120 Ilford Pan F Plus. Id love to get a filter set eventually but I just don't shoot enough black and white to justify the cost at the moment

Nope. I think you've got it just about right.

No, in fact, I like the flow of this composition. My eye begins at her face, follows her hair down to the bustline, across to her right arm, and back up the shoulder to her face again. I'd say if you can do something similar to all of them, you will have a KA collection.

the photo is a little bright but you should be able to see some of the detail. I used a color monkey to set up my computer at home but its been a while since then so it may need to be adjusted again. thank you for the heads up

I really like the posing and the conversion, however I had a similar thought to Lew regarding the face tonality. Also her facial features look a little too smooth to my eye. But those are basically nits on a very nice portrait.

Just looked at it on iPad and another pc. Forehead, bridge of nose and cheekbones seem texture less

I love the texture in her hair, and the separation of it from the background ... she is a very beautiful woman indeed. I love the stripes in the dress and the contrast in them.

The highlights on the forehead and the bridge of the nose seem a little blown and the dress material on her right shoulder are rather OOF. Speaking of OOF though, I love how the dress goes OOF toward her hips. Wouldn't mind her lips being a shade darker.
