Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
What do you think about someone that copy and pastes the same exact question on 5 or 6 different photography forums, but never partisipates in anyone else's threads (ie, not a contributing member), often never acknowledge the replies they get, and has a couple of photography business links in their signature.

Would you call that spamming?

No, I'd call it a hit and run.

If it didn't have the links in the siguature, I would say no.

But with the links... it certainly is Spam.

Ok, what did I do now?

Depends, are the questions amateur enough to the point where nobody in their right mind would click his business links looking to hire him? :lmao:

If link is provided in the post and viewer may click the link after viewing the post, then I will say yes.

LOL, I'm pretty sure I know who you're talking about.

I guess you could call it spam. I think the end goal is to generate traffic on a blog.

I never really got that... Do you make money by having a blog? Why is it so important to get as many views as possible?

Advertisers like websites that get alot of hits because it means their links have a chance of alot of traffic. You get so much a hit on an advertisers link on you website/blog. Thats my general understanding.
Also I believe I know too who it is. The person I'm thinking of has deleted all their opening posts except for the past 2 weeks. Strange?

If I go to thousands of forums, blog or site that allow comments/post, and post something in there and every single post has a link back to my site. My google ranking may increase and it doesn't matter if those posts are positive or negative.

See how this person raise his site ranking in google.
i.e. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/28/business/28borker.html

(note: google made some changes recently so that his site has lower ranking now)

Yes, it is spamming.

Does a bear sh*t in the woods? Yes...It's spam. Get rid of the advertising and it could then perhaps be viewed as just an ignorant poster. To ask for help and then receive it without acknowledging it is ignorant where I come from. With the ads included and the lack of response by the poster it leads a person to believe that the poster isn't interested in receiving input and that he/she is simply advertising...It's spamming!

LYNCH the spammer! ...Merry Christmas!

Just my $0.02
Cheers!
