Wounded Soldier

Found this poor wounded soldier beetle running around. Not sure what his story is, but I felt pretty bad for him.

This is what he should have looked like.

It looks like he may have been some other bugs lunch, but got away.

That's kind of what I figured Pierre. There are quite a few predatory beetles and some baby praying mantis's on that same bush as well as a couple spiders so probably one of them got ahold of him, but he wiggled out. I doubt his chances of survival are very good now as I don't think they will grow their wings back.
