Wren and Stimpy...

Well, ok, a dove... Stimpy would have been cool, though... I need to get the wren house hung, since this one is checking out the area.

Good pictures Jeff! I would love to photograph a Eurasian Collared Dove. I have only seen Mourning Doves in Central Illinois. Wrens are always fun to watch.

Thanks! I've lived in North Texas for thirty-five years, and the year before last was the first time I had seen any around here. It started with just two showing up, and I thought maybe they had gotten lost, but now there are six to eight of them that dominate the feeder at times. We have white-wing and mourning doves as well. And a block away, there are dozens of pigeons, but they never seem to come into the neighborhood.

Fun this afternoon watching ringside as the chickadees, nuthatches and downy woodpeckers duke it out for black sunflower seeds and peanuts. Canada geese are back and showing the usual poor judgement in nesting real estate.
