I thought it looked like a hand also. Too bad the shroom wasn't open a little more on top, could of been fingers reaching out.

Ah.
I am too lazy to carry anything extra but my tripod when I shoot the shrooms ... even though I do not generally encounter the best lighting.

its macro 1:1 and the focusing distance is very close.
