Yashika Electro 35

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all

I have Yashika Electro 35. Can't find it's batteries these days. Can I still take photographs in daylight?

A vendor told me that he could make the flash light system direct which would make the flash lights non-dependable to these Camera batteries, means I would be able to use external Flash light (powered on its' own) without having to load specific Yashika batteries into the camera.

Again, at this point i only need daylight photography, so can I use it without these batteries? As far as exposure indicators are concerned, someone told me that if you have a good idea as to what aperture setting should be used, then you can rely on your settings with no need t depend on these indicators.

good camera.. difficult mercury battery to find (they are banned in the US).

for batteries.. check out replacement options and www.photobattery.com << they sell all sorts of difficult to find batteries.

Any good camera shop will have the mercury free replacements. They are a little pricey, but the correct voltage.
