Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I've joined the masses in doing a 52 week project.

I'm doing it with another photographer and we agreed to take turns picking the theme... I guess for motivation so neither of us quits. :lmao:

Anyway, this weeks theme was Night/Twilight. 'Twas an 8 second exposure.

C&C if you'd like.

It won't last they are a waste of time, you will end up shooting crap just to keep up

Nice enough for this theme which doesn't do much for me, lol. But rather than bring out details in the bottom, I would just cut it out along with some of the right side.

If it were me, I'd crop the top 40%, the bottom 15%, and make it a panoramic photo with more emphasis on making the tree the subject complimented by the nice background colors. And I'd increase the brightness to get a little more detail in the foreground. As is, the blue at the top dominates too much and sits on what is a nice landscape...

Good luck

I might be inclined to see if some detail could be brought out in the dark bottom of the pic. Just a thought.

Thanks for the feed back! :sillysmi:

it becomes a chore rather than a hobby

Why so negative? Normally I don't bother commenting on stuff like this, but I find it odd that I post a photo and your only reaction is "don't do it!" I mean, if you have nothing to say about the photo... that's *fine*... but this is a *photo forum* and the comments you *do* leave are to *discourage* me from continuing to take photos? Why? Because yours failed? And why is it a waste of time any more any of my other photos are a waste of time? If it starts to feel "like a chore", I'm not going to keep pushing it... I'm not putting "do or die" pressure on myself to ABSOLUTELY complete this... so if around week 20 I'm tired of it, then it'll be done. No harm, no foul, and I'm *still* not going to feel like I *wasted* any time, because it was time I wasn't sitting around with my thumb up my ass... I was out taking photos.

There's another forum that has a weekly challenge that I was participating in for a while and that was always fun. The only reason I stopped that was because I stopped frequenting the forum as much, but since one of them admins has dragged me back in, I'll probably be starting up again. I like the weekly challenges because they pull me out of my comfort zone of shooting bands and get me shooting and thinking about other stuff I would never otherwise think to shoot. I'm not going to end up shooting gold every week, but then again, whose to say *anything* I've ever shot was that good? That still doesn't keep me from trying.

I dunno... I just thought it was a weird response from you guys. Pay no mind to me. :lmao:

I would never do a 52 week project, because you will start shooting just for the sake of getting your 52 weeks worth of photos, i have seen lots on here they start off good but the photos get worse as time goes by

Okay

Thanks :sillysmi:

About the photo.... I feel like it is a bit dark. Shooting a little bit earlier in the evening may have helped make the tree a little more prominent. The colors in the sky are nice but still a little dark. I like the composition though.

About the project.... I found that I was able to do a 52 week project much better than a 365. I picture a day is hard but a picture a day should be done anyway. I'm thinking a thread with a weekly photo idea would be a great thing... I may start it and see if it get's a following.

Happy shooting,
~Jason

Cool, thanks for your feedback, Jason :sillysmi:
