Yellow Iris

Such a subtle beauty. It has a happy face like mine, nice surprise. Special thanks to @Designer for the direction on depth of field, maybe not me directly but in one the posts about it. I added the direction to my now running 184 page notes from this website alone.

I did check and you had a slight yellow color cast. I removed that and then isolated the Iris from the BG, inverted and using a wide midtones mask with a blend mode of Multiply I was able to push the BG Back. I did touch the HSB slider on the yellow channel ever so slightly and I used the content aware fill on the scratch on the bottom petal...As always, it is just someone else's opinion and never intended to be the only answer to a complex problem

I couldn't get that to go away for the life of me.... in Gimp. I never thought of masking the flower....duh

Nice -- fancy iris, around here those are colloquially called German or Dutch irises.
