Yet Another Portrait Attempt

The first image is one I posted a few weeks ago, and the concensus was that it was too flat, which I agree with by the way. The second is from yesterday with 2 Alien Bees 400 Strobes w/ brolly boxes. One, at half power, above and just slightly camera right and another, 1/4 power, about 45 degrees camera left at about eye level of the model. Camera was a 10D w50mm 1.8 lens 125 & f11. Any suggestions you can offer would be much appreciated. I've only had these strobes for a week now and this was the first person I could photograph. She is my niece and is a paramedic here in Virginia where we live. Many thanks in advance for your help.
