Yongnuo yn-465 on a 7d

I have that yongnuo ttl flash for occasional use(canon). I used it originally on a 50d but recently changed to a 7d. I have not used it on the 7d yet but while doing a Google search I came upon a few articles that said without explanations that it is not suitable for the 7d. Does anyone know if this means it is completely unusable or just ttl mode or would i damage something if i put it on the camera at all. Thanks.

Thanks, that's interesting but it looks like this guy is using it off camera. I'll try find out a little more in case intends up frying something inside my camera
