My wife recently bought a Squirrel proof bird feeder, I think it took about 2 minutes for them to sort it out...

Yep, they are smart little critters, as are the Bluejays, who are also trying to figure this thing out.

Yep, although she did give up after a bit, and just jumped down and rooted around in the grass for anything that might have dropped.
