You just can't stop them

So I got this feeder for the woodpeckers. I specifically got it so that only birds that can hang and eat upside down can use it otherwise the starlings and blackbirds will finish off a suet cake within a day. I should have known better.

nice series. Might have to get a cat or something to keep them away. LOL or another bird feeder a short distance away for the regular birds.

Nice series.I found the only thing that works is stop feeding for a week or two they usually will move on for a while then refill for the regular birds, however I think some blabber mouth goes and tells them because the always come back after a while.

Thanks guys. After two years battling grackles, starlings and blackbirds I finally got the right feeder and feed combinations that I have drastically reduced their presence that they are not a nuisance anymore. I have very few of them around the feeders these days. So I can actually enjoy their creativity.

We get lots of Starlings in our garden, I cannot say that I mind really, they are quite funny when they argue with each other...

Crafty little buggers aren't they. I don't have many starlings but no end of grackles. I hate grackles.
