Ok. Too cheesy? Camelution. Camera + Evolution = Camelution. Sigh.

Do you remember your line of cameras? Here's mine from VERY beginning to today. I didn't take this as a serious thing until three or so years ago, so there is a bit of a leap from 2003.

Canon Rebel Something SLR Film = All of my photos were underexposed. I had no clue what I was doing, so I wasted a ton on film.

Sony A7 = I finally found my one true love. Quirky but phenomenal. This thing is everything that I've been looking for. Another few years and I'll have MKII for IBIS.

I still have my Fuji, and it still takes amazing jpegs. It's beat to hell and back, but it stomps all over the D3000 and 20D.

I kind of have my second D90 around. I gifted the camera to my buddy, and he never hesitates to let me borrow it. It's still one of my favorites.

Nikon F90 then Nikon N90S (2009)* -- I needed a film SLR for class and son #2 has the F90 for his class.
Nikkormat FT3 (2013)* -- I just wanted one.
AGFA Compur (2015)* -- it caught my eye at a flea market.

I used my father's Minolta SRT101 on occasion from about 1973 until I bought the SRT201.
The Highmatic, Coolpix and AGFA were gifts; I purchased the others. I gave the F90 to son #2 when he graduated from high school.
I'd like to eventually get a Nikon F4.
Someday I will probably replace the D40 with something a bit more updated but I haven't had a real need.

That's it for me. My parents had a Minolta Maxxum 400si with a couple lenses, but I only used it a few times.

I also had the Fuji X20 and X100 but I didn't consider those apart of my camera evolution. They were just my "fun" cameras I had for a while and then turned around and sold them.

First, I used my parents' Kodak 110 camera, whatever model it was.
Then I got a Vivitar 35mm point-and-shoot for my 17th birthday.
When I was 22, I bought myself a Pentax K1000 with a Takumar 28-80mm lens and a flash as a combination birthday/college graduation present.

That's pretty much as far as I got.

At least in terms of "replacements." I've more recently gotten other cameras and I enjoy using them. Some of them might even be "better" than the K1000. But I've never replaced her. In fact, she's sitting right next to me, 12 more shots left in a roll of Agfa.

Started with a dinky Point and Shoot

Then I wheedled my way to getting a Canon Powershot G5 for my birthday.

Used it till college when I used film with a Nikon F80 borrowed from my brother.
My uncle gave me his old FE2. My brother wanted his F80 back so I bought an F100 on eBay.
Best camera ever that I hardly used.

I got tired of film costs so I wheeeedled my way to getting a Nikon D70s with the 18-70 for Christmas.
Best camera ever!!!!

One day it broke so I upgraded to the mighty D300.
yes...it was the most amazing camera ever

I was offered a great deal on a used D700. I bought it.
Whoa! best most amazing camera EVERRRR

Next I got my travel buddy camera the Lumix LX5.
Best little camera ever.

Finally, the D700 was starting to show signs of age (failing shutter).
Soooo..I upgraded to the D810.
Actually is the best camera ever.
