My guess is that she is 'balancing' a building or something on the background on her finger - but I didn't want to inquire.

People watching in the city is lots of fun.

The only thing I'd say to her is that after walking around all day (especially if she rode the subway) in the city, that shoelace must go.

She's tipping the brim of her hat up (maybe briefly) to better see something across the way that she's looking at.

I like the design on the sweater somewhat echoing her wearing the blue shades. To me the foot sticking into the side of the frame doesn't seem to need to be in the photo (and maybe would think about if/how much of the other person should be in the picture).
