Zeroing in

Went out the first time today with my new 70-200 2.8 with 1.7 Tele-converter...combined with the D700, it is a pretty hefty package and took me awhile to get used to shooting on the fly. My arms are a bit tired tonight, but if I can continue to get shots like this, I'll suffer gladly.

Next shot, for sure...maybe - those little buggers are hard to follow when there's a school of bait fish waiting to be eaten.

Thanks, that's what I'm learning. When they're sitting nicely on a perch it's a no-brainer but when darting about the sky, wow, whole different story. The ones I shot yesterday when I was trapped by the snakes are getting better at capturing expressive movement and keeping the eye in focus. I'm getting really strong forearms.
