Taken whilst i was photographing a Rotary District Young Chef final - she was my 9yr old little helper and took some excellent pictures herself on my old 350D with the Canon 1.8 50mm on.

Not a fan of the post processing either. As for the original, the interaction between the available lighting and the background give this image a very dull feel. Lots of noise and not very flattering I'm afraid. Just my $.02.

Lighting mainly from overhead strip lights. . . . not my favourite mix with some diffused flash . . . as taken as asked for. The "sketch" can be printed on any paper at standard setting on any printer and was done as she watched on the big screen and printed to take home. The folk supporting the Young Chefs were not allowed into the kitchens so I was downloading into Lightroom and putting up a slideshow and topping it up with the next batch of images to keep them entertained, then pictures of the finished meals and settings plus presentations and family groups - kept the old chap busy and images have gone off first in a gallery that night to all concerned and since sent off higher resolution copies to schools, colleges, parents and press on request.
