SO I WENT LOOKING FOR A SLR AND TRIED OUT THE D60.IVE NEVER USED A SLR BEFORE SO I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO CHOOSE.MY PRICE RANGE IS NO MORE THAN $600 AND I MAINLY WANT TO USE IT AT CAR/TRUCK SHOWS WHICK ARE MOSTLY OUTDOORS.WOULD THIS BE A GOOD CAMERA TO START OFF WITH?IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REGULAR AND GOLD EDITION?THNX

check you the nikon d40. you could get the body and a couple lenses for around 600.

or check out the canon rebel.

buy a nikon D40. i don't think d60 worth the extra penny. D40 is a great camera too. i own one.

i think it's odd that the f-word is bleeped and not assholes.

At any rate, CAPS are internet-unfriendly and evident of sever stupidity if used often. I think the group was just highlighting that.

But writing back and cursing at the rest of them will DEF dispel that.

Get a D40 and a couple of lenses, should suit you better than a D60.
