Batteries mAh question

    Longevity. They generally sacrifice some longevity in favour of higher single charge. This may mean that you're reduced to 1000 recharges instead of 1500 or something else quite so meaningless for such a cheap part before your battery gives up.

    Btw I'm pulling these numbers from where the sun don't shine. But the relationship still holds.

    I've been using off-brand batteries in my Canon cameras (from www.sterlingtek.com) for years with no problems.
