Blue ray?

    On another site, I caught a reference to 'blue ray' technology as a possible future direction for digital photography.

    Any buzz?

    I think you're talking about the Blu-Ray disc format, which is a type of compact disc that is made to hold high capacities of data (about 25-50 times the capacity of a DVD), and can hold entire movies in HD format. It's pretty cutting-edge technology, as its competitor HD-DVD (think betamax vs. VHS), and there are only a few devices on the market that can read / play Blu-Ray Discs. I don't see how it would apply to photography in any though.:confused: You can read more on wikipedia here.
