    Hey,

I currently use an EOS 5.

I am planning on purchasing a Canon 10D, however some people are saying to purchase a 1D.

However, i unfortunately do not have that kind of money.

Anyway the reason being is that photos like family photos need to be taken. The EOS5 does a brilliant job, however i would like to go digital because of the ease of use of it and quick time editing/viewing.

It is also cheap with the films too....

Please tell me what you think...

The 10D is dicontinued. You may want to look at the 20D. By all accounts a very good camera. But then, so is the EOS5! :)

    What do you mean discontinued?

I want a digital that will be able to match up to the eos 5.

EOS 5 in my opinion is the DADDY of all film cameras, but now it is time for digital

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
Canon does not manufacture 10D's anymore. 20D replaced the 10D with a few more bells and whistles.
However, you can get a good deal for a used 10D.

How would you compare the 20d to the EOS 5?

I am trying to find articles to compare them both but cant find any.

you won't too many generations away. add the film vs digital and you will not see any comparisons. Just think of the 20D as an upgraded version of the 10D. The 20D has better usability and more megapixels. If you were gonna be happy with a 10D then the 20D will make you all the more happier.
