digiCamControl for tethering Nikon D7000?

hello

A beginner asks about tethering options for the D7000...

1) Have you insights to share regarding the freeware dCC?
2) Nikon's own program: reliable, or bug-laden (from your experience)?
3) options beyond those two?

No experience with Nikons' overpriced WimpWare, but I've heard it's buggy.

DigiCamControl is THE ONLY way to go.

Other than the digiCamControl, would I need to download any other software for a Windows 7 Pro OS in order for dCC to function?

I seem to recall mention made of two other items when I downloaded the dCC yesterday...

There should only really be one app. But other versions might be for Mac, support other/more brands, or a beta version of an upgrade.
