Dust Question

All,

I have Nikon D80 and I am rather new to Dslr and have noticed when zooming in on an image a blue looking circle with a + sign in it. I have tried different lenses and the problem persists. Any ideas of what this could be?

Those are not dust spots. Dust spots are usually darkish looking blobs. I would think those are dead or stuck pixels. I'm not sure what you can do, if anything, for them. You can probably find lots of info if you Google it though.

wow, thanks for the fast response. Camera is still under warranty. I think I will send it to have it repaired as they come out on all of my pictures, they are small but noticeable to me. I know its not my monitor as they also show on my laptop. Maybe something with the sensor in the camera?

If still warranted I'd request a replacement rather than repair as it could be camera electronics affecting the sensor, a short or faulty wiring rather than just a dicky sensor. H
