what's the cost of a decent/great flood light, mostly for portraits and skateboard photography? I wanna get a good spotlight on my photos.

For night-time? I highly doubt that a floodlight will be able to create the type of lighting you need to stop some fast sports like skateboarding. If you do get one powerful enough for that, don't get it too close to the model or they'll get a suntan :)

well, its used with flash, and its to provide some more emphasis and lighting for the skater so its balanced, flash with floodlight. I really dont know how to explain it.
