Went on a ~17 mile bike ride through some state water management lands. Got few nice shots, barely escaped some rain, and found a CPL filter along the trail. Thanks for looking!
1. The Duck came out a little soft, but I love the splashes he left behind.
2. The "Texas Turkey" were all over the place. This was the only one I saw with a red head...
3. Biggest Gator of the whole trip... waited a while for him to move, but he didn't. Actually he was in the same place about an hour later when I was on the way back.
4. Liked the branch he was standing on.
5. Testing their fate...
6. My "aha!" moment of realising that waiting quietly in one place gets you much closer to the birds than trying to sneak up on them. That's why I always see those pics of people in hunting blinds with huge lenses.
7. Another Gator.
My wife titled this "The road to no where" but it didn't seem that way to me until the ride back home.
Would love to hear your comments. I'm still getting used to using my zoom... ended up with quite a few soft/motion blurred pics but I think I'm getting better with practice. I also ended up manually focusing for a lot of the day because the auto focus just didn't seem to be working as fast/well as I would like that morning.
