I'm looking for a good compact tripod for my 40D. Most of the photography I do is while I'm traveling so I'd like something that can break down pretty small and that doesn't weight a lot.

I'm mostly concerned with quality and then cost, although I can't spend the $$$ for a Gitzo or something that expensive.

Thanks.

I do all my photography in my city, and a lot of it at night while walking around. I would recommend the slik amt, it was pretty cheap, its titanium, quite steady, and very light.

I bought a manfrotto with a head for just a tad over a C note, pretty light weight, I carry it around all over in a "throw over the shoulder" case that came with it........
