Hello everyone! I searched around and this seemed to be largest/best forum.

I am a photography noob but I would like to become somewhat of a photographer(just as a hobby for fun) I currently have a crappy point and shoot but I would really like to get a D-SLR to take some nice pictures with.

would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?
