The 1st one would be great if the legs weren't cut off. The 2nd is better, but not as good an expression in my opinion.

Pros: The deer is hilariously cute, so the composition and technical dilly-dally doesn't matter

Cons: yeah...maybe up the contrast, and brighten a tiny bit?
