Light Box

Hey guys,

I've been wanting to do some more product shots and I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for a nice light box kit. I made my own a couple weeks ago out of a cardboard box and thin paper and I used a couple halogen work lights but I'm not sure if that was the best way to do it. The box crumbled but the lights were great. Should I just get a proper light box and forget buying good lights and just use the work lights or should I look for a good kit? If so, which kit?

If you want to make one yourself, you can make a frame out of PVC pipe and throw a white bedsheet over it. Check out http://www.pbase.com/wlhuber/light_box_light_tent .

Light box or light table?

I guess it depends a bit on what you want to photograph, the size of the object, and how you want it to look.
Do you have a budget and/or expect to earn some money...? Therefore it could be worth it to buy everything...a basic kit with lights

A light table could be built with a few items from the hardware store.
