M42 Adapter Arrived But Lens Has Fogging (Insight Requested)

It does say auto on the lens...but pushing the pin doesn't affect the aperture blades...after doing some research on Hanimex lenses, I've decided to not look for more of those...I will instead look for other used M42 lenses at B&H, KEH and Adorama...
