Amon Tobin is badass. I am actually listen to Cujo, his pseudonym. But I think "Supermodified" is his best album.
So not legal - but my boyfriend has like over 100 gigs of music he acquired through paid newsgroups (like $10/month) and his friend's private ftps. Actually some were from free newsgroups. Mostly indie-ish stuff I guess, but all lovely! My musical collection has seen increased itself three folds by proxy.
My personal suggestions: Pinback - "Pinback," Godspeed! You Black Emperor - "F#A#" (so cliche, but I love that album!!!), Broken Social Scene - "You Forgot in the People" and . . . And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - "Souce Tags and Codes."
