So I'm new to Digital SLR's. I did some photography in college 14 years ago but EVERYthing has been lost from my mind. I did get published once in photographers forum magazine with an honorable mention in a college contest but I think I just got lucky. Anyways I look forward to learning from this site. I'm short on $$$ this year so I'm stuck with my d3000 and the Canon T1i @ work. It wont let me post attachments so you can't rip me a new one yet but be ready for a few stupid Q's!

No need to host pictures on TPF to post pictures on the forum :) check out this thread that will tell you all about it... You can use a photo hosting site such as flickr or photobucket and post the code here.

    Welcome,

Upload them to a host site such as photobucket, then you can just paste the links into your posts which will show the pictures once you click submit reply. I will often skip over posts that have simply attached images since it will often show a thumbnail or compressed version which requires you to click every single image if you want to see a larger version. It becomes tedious when they post 5 or 10 images to critique.

Great read to get back into it:
