night photo help!

oh ok thanks, what iso do you recommend me to set it on, for night photos and Underground photos. (taking pictures of cars)

Set it at the lowest and use a tripod.

Both: the manual is right for handheld shots, Big Mike is right for tripod shots.

Like I said: your camera's ISO cannot be set high enough for handheld night photos.

i have a tripod so it won't be handheld

Then follow Big Mike's advice: set lowest ISO, set Av aperture priority at F/5.6 (page 53), on tripod, compose the image, set selftimer at 10 sec (page 46), push the exposure button and step back.

the exposure button is the +/- button correct?

The exposure button is a.k.a. the shutter (release) button. Page 10, 25, 68.
