    here is the Pink Cone Flower I meentioned in the critique section..Although not one of my best it still shows what I was referring to. I also have posted a Columbine which shows the technique a bit better:

    Yah, i see what you mean, but unfortunately, my lens isn't quite that perfect

    You could also try a tripod to work with,,,because I want to say, it isn't that bad of a photo..The things I suggested will help you to improve an already good shot.

    I really like the texture in the first photo... both photos are very nice!
