Bumping by saying that... ugh -- I really need a telephoto lens.

Missed a decent shot today. This is as close as I could get without scaring the little bugger away:

but what I really wanted was... you know...

So I walked into Circuit City today with my camera to test out some lenses.

Here's what my kit lens can do:

and what a $250 Nikkor 50-200 lens can do:

Worth it? Or should I sell my kit lens for like 100 bucks and get an 18-135? Or should I stick with my kit and get a prime lens?
