It's here. The crocuses on my lawn are blooming, the tree buds have begun to open and there's a lot of tweeting about.

Here's a timely depressing thought from W. Wordsworth that goes with my photo and this new year. From Lines Written in Early Spring.

Yep, that's always a threat here, more so now that Spring is arriving earlier and earlier.

I think "cycle" more aptly describes it. I can remember many years past when we already had corn up in the bootheel by the middle of March.
