Whats up with the focus?

Can you tell me whats wrong with the focus in these shots and how to improve:
1, 2 and 3 were taken using Sigma 50mm @ 1.4
4 was taken with Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC @ 5.6

Auto-focus was on for all shots.

Never underestimate the SHALLOWNESS of DOF you get when you go THAT wide open! You get millimetres, and once you fall out of it, you're out and your subject is oof (seems to be the word to use, I only ever heard it on here, myself not being a native speaker of the English language, let alone of photo lingo).

So it means that it was I who messed up the shots and it is not the lens fault. I was hoping I could blame the lens for my mistakes

Don't shoot wide open. Step down to f2.0 or f2.2.
