which body on a tight budget?

I don't think I'd use dielectric grease on my camera. It's used to protect things, not clean them. Contact Cleaner is what I'd use.
oh crap. That was sitting side by side with the one I picked up, but when I asked which one was most suitable the sales rep suggested the one I brought home. No big deal - it's only five minutes up the road.

Thanks

okay, gave it a whirl and really didn't make much of a difference. I can live with it, bit I can't imagine Nikon would have let it out with such a stiff dial.

Spray, work it. Spray work it.

Hopefully that'll clear things up.

Trust me, I've done exactly that. I held back after a while for fear of having the stuff pouring inside.

Bummer. Hopefully it'll ease up with use. May the Force be with you.

Thanks. Not a big deal, it's just tight, not unusable.

Get a D300 I'd stay far away from any D7000 they have known AF issues ,the D7100 killed it, but hey that's only my opinion folks.
