Got a quick impromptu photos with a friends girl, she had a birthday this week. Which one do you like best? All natural light with no fill. 7D with a 70-200mm f/4L

I like the pose in #2 the best, but the facial expression in #3 the best.

Thanks John and Jordan.

John, is it the eyes that make #3?

Jordan, I do like the pose in #2 but the hand and the squint in it bother me a little.

# 3 includes the top of the head and elbow
but I like the slight tilt of the head in # 2

I thought I saw a poll too ... did it disappear or was I seeing things ?

Thanks John and Jordan.

The eyes are the reason why I like the facial expression in #3.

I agree with the slight head tilt, as well as the position of the hand looking more natural. The hand position in #3 maybe looks like she is scratching her neck.

But overall, I would agree with John - #3.

I think I actually prefer #2, but I do like #3.

I like #2 for the genuine smile, the feminine head tilt, and the little kid painted nails...it just looks like a little girl's portrait.Like many people, when she smiles, her eyes squint a bit-you might not like that, and it's not considered "idealized", but her parents will recognize the genuine expression more readily I think. In shot #1 the eyes look a bit soft. I'd put #3 at a close second though.

#2 for the head tilt and the visible fingers.

I like #2 the better for the hand placement and smile.
