1/25!!! FML!!

I understand that flashes fire off at such quick bursts that it'll freeze your sperm, I was merely suggesting that there was so much natural light in the room that it would greatly impact the exposure.

Just read the post again and she was using burst mode so she could not be using flash, but it wouldn't be much of a burst mode at 1/25

Also, do something with the background. A floor and a wall with crown molding as a transition are fine for a home, but it wouldn't be my ideal background in a studio.

I disagree. This is exactly what her clients love. Background like these SELL. Crown molding is a no brainer to cover the transition between the wall and the faux hardwood floor she is using. The bad thing I see on these ones are I can see the waviness of the wall and one of the floor.

Look at the first shot, no hardwood floor i have ever fitted had wrinckles

I agree about the angle though. This is why I dont really focus on baby photos. I cant compete with local female photogaphers here. They all have faux floor, faux wall, cute hats, cute props. People love these. I dont have the desire to buy stuff like this. Occasionally I do get newborn gigs but I dont care if I dont do one the whole year.

So I usually just use props they have around their house LOL. Their dining room table, their silverware, their dish. The only thing I bring is the cheese cloth.

Baby. The other other white meat.

Yeah, seriously Schwetty...lol. the salt and pepper create the idea of eating the baby..

The baby posed on a plate while on a table with a fork, knife and salt/pepper shakers is so overdone. Everybody does that shot...

i would have moved the salt and pepper to the left so the feet werent blocked. and where's the A1

I see the blur in all of them.

and the one with the least amount of blur the flooring is HORRID!

What in the heck is wrong with it? I think you have tired several times to use this floor and I always see how crappy it looks.... lol I would say trash the floor, it looks bad.

Now with the blur, I'd reshoot. I see it in all of them. What were your other settings? They look ok exposure wise which is why I'm wondering what the other settings were in order for them not to be super over exposed for a shutter of 1/25th

Dont eat the baby!!

I hear they are tough anyway...lol

You must have supersonic vision or I'm completely blind, I still don't see any blur. The eyes are sharp, she didn't even sharpen these pics in PP. I must be losing it. I agree with you about the floor but the rest, no.

And how were they not overexposed at 1/25? ISO setting, f stop, power of her strobes, etc. Seriously? Maybe she used a magic wand and miraculously they turned out the way they did.

Not if properly marinated for 24 hours in the fridge, tenderized for 15 minutes prior to putting in a bath of bbq sauce, salted for taste and heated in oven for 45 minutes.

no no, brining will make any meat stay juicy and tender

Ah yes you're right but I prefer the skin to be crispy.
 we're all sick.....:lmao:

Really you don't see blur? On the first, I don't see very much, but the floor ax's that shot....
on the 2nd look at her hand on the horse.... and the eyes... on the 3rd, look at the foot, you can see the movement...

I'm not sure I would say they are trash, but yes, I do see the blur and I bet if she posted a larger photo or a link to the full size, it would be way easier to see.

So smoke it after you brine it. Juicy meat, crispy skin.

And FTR I don't eat baby. I'm talking about turkey and chicken you weirdo

Wait, where am I?

I'm so very far from the skill level of a lot of the posters here, but I agree I can skill blur in the 2nd and 3rd image posted. I also believe there is a little blur in the eyes of all three (they just don't seem as sharp as I like).

As others have mentioned, the floor in #1 kills the image. Even it if was sharp as a tack, it would have been in the trash for me because of the way it it is wrinkled.

Also I don't understand how you didn't notice a SS of 1/25? Even if the sound didn't give you a hint (this would have raised flags for me), looking thru the viewfinder when pushing the shutter release would have giving you a huge clue something was off.
