Yup thats a keeper.
I would like to see the colour version as the rusty texture and the dust might look even better.
I would have removed a wee bit of the dark headroom and extended to the right to bring the whole shadow into view.

I've got 3 of these lanterns. I bought one and converted it to fit a standard bayonet fit bulb and fitted a vintage style bulb - this was a valentines gift for my girl friend last year! I bought another two since then to convert but haven't gotten around to it. Nice lanterns and the metal is really nice to work with.

Nicely done; I'd like to see it with about 1/2 of the empty space image right removed so it wasn't quite such a centered composition.

I'm experimenting with the 1:1 format at the moment so maybe still getting to grips with composition in a square frame. I'm looking at symmetry, lines, textures, and shadows just now but yeah this was my first attempt at a square framed image prior to taking the photo.

Feedback is good and it's interesting to see the changes in styles and thoughts of photographers even within the last decade.
