1001 pictures in my photostream

Somehow I have managed to break 1000 uploads on my flickr page. Hopefully these will be the last of the backyard birds. Osprey season is here so I will spend my spare time stalking my favorite bird. For now, a few from today. Comments welcome.

I like the starling

My favorites are #3 & 4: #3 because I really like the colors. A plain bird but really looks nice with the pearlescent reds, gold and blues with the blue and "golden" background - nicely framed and a good capture of his "stare."
#4 is really sharp on my screen, a little noisy but I like the bokeh on the background. One other question, is he also riding a surfboard? Looks like a Starling Surfer

The colors are great in number 3.
My favorites are 4 and 6 both for how you managed to compose the photo. With the robin you really managed to keep all the detail in the body of the bird. I'm trying to get better at that. It's not as easy as you make it look.
Now bring on the Ospreys!!!!
BTW you have a lot to live up to this year after you amazing photo from last year.

@zim, lol does look like a surfer I have to straighten the bird feeder one of these days, damn squirrels...

Shefjr, I know I have quite the Osprey reputation to uphold. I finally saw 2 yesterday so I think Sunday the Osprey quest begins again If you ever want to take a drive to CT... just saying. I mentioned it on your flickr, but it really looks like your getting that lens honed in! Your images have been really sharp lately!

Can't wait to see the next 1001 shots!! I love following your work. Keep shooting!!

Good luck on your Osprey quest may the osprey gods be good to you!
The offer to at some point join you in a quest is really tempting. I may take you up on that offer if it is still on the table at a later date. I'm currently trying to get a better handle on photographing birds in general. I am not consistent yet in the images that I produce and for some reason I seem to be much better in the low light than I am when it's sunny out(weird). When I get a little more consistent I would love to join you on an adventure.
I'm working hard to get this lens where I want it. I'm a huge pixel peeper so I'm constantly obsessing about the detail in my birds. Every time I look at your images I'm reminded that I have work to do. You set the bar way too high for me. lol
