Daisy and I took the boat up to this beautiful spot north of Toronto about 2 hours drive, have a great time, and wonderful weather.. I do remember wishing I had John E's landscape photo skills !! o well, I tried!

I wasn't sure about this shot.. I thought it might look cool in b/w but I still favor the colour shot.. your thoughts??

No need to hide, Raymond! These are incredibly beautiful landscape photos, too!
You lucky people do live in a beautiful part of the world, and you all know how to capture it so well.

As to the black+white conversion... surprise here!
I like the black+white one better in that case than the colour.

But would have been sad to see those same trees with the HOUSE in black+white, since the colour of the house goes so well with the colour of the sky and its reflection on the water. If I had never known this, I might think it an ok-b+w photo too, but now that I know it, I like the colours a lot in that one.

And the sunset is stunning in itself. Boats there or not there... they are so far behind and so small ... they do not distract ME in the least!

These are very nice Raymond, you should be proud of them. It looks an awful lot like Stoney Lake in the Kawarthas.

raymond, these are great! i agree with jon mikal..and everyone else here, these are so vivid, colorful...and you did a wonderful job on the loon...

i usually am a black and white person, (if you only knew how true that really was!!) but i like the color version better...me and lafoto changed places there...!!

Jeeze missed this thread :blushing: Fine photo's Raymond, great shots on the loon. I lean towards the black and white, not sure why :scratch: 5 is my favourite, well framed and you caught some great light to go with it. 8 is a terrific picture.

Your skills are just great and getting better all the time :thumbsup:
