this was gone wrong from the get go...it was suppose to be out doors ,but we had bad weather ,they wanted there pics today no matter what, the baby wasnt having it ....so i did the best i could with what i had ...lol

Don't take this the wrong way, but I just have to ask. Since you used the term "photo shoot," do you mean to imply that these were requested in exchange for payment? Or did you do this for free?

Are these being posted as examples of your work? I'm confused. These look like they were taken on a phone.

#1: why such tight framing.... this is suffocating a bit...

#2: I really like the mood and tone here :D

The cropping or framing on both of these is a little tight, particularly the first one, as Frequency has noted. I do like the conversion on the second though.

what happened here was that i didn't have the space i needed to get good pics ..this was suppose to be outdoor pics..i don't have a studio so i was trying to eliminate all the furniture around ..like i said a photo session gone wrong..i was trying to do the best with no space and a 1 yr old that wouldnt stop moving ..lol...i don't charge for my pics at all i am in the learning stages ..people see you with a nice camera and already think your a pro ..but i make sure they know i am not and i don't charge ...i do get a free dinner or something silly like that ...lol...thanks for the c&c ...i 'am not crazy about them either ..it wasnt what i wanted to do ...i 'am actually gonna do some more outside today ..cause i am not happy at all with them and if i do somethin i wanna give it my best and i know that wasnt ....other than the frame being to tight ..what u guys think on the edit ..is the black and white good or to harsh and is the sephia one to blah ...should i add color to it

common sense i said c&c ...meaning critique it ..not put a smart remark..meaning give me ur two sense as pro ....i'am a beginner ..i guess u probably didnt read what i said...but thanks for your time ur comment was very informing :)

i don't charge for my pics at all i am in the learning stages ..people see you with a nice camera and already think your a pro ..but i make sure they know i am not and i don't charge

Happy to hear it, your going about it the right way! Too many people post just horrendous photos on here from "photo shoots" that they charged for.

The focus is really soft in the first one, and looks to be mostly on the mother. Were you hand holding, and what was the shutter speed?

It looks like your shutter speed was too slow, you should have a look at what it was.
